The Super Bowl is almost here. After wild Divisional and Championship rounds, the upstart Cincinnati Bengals are set to meet the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET for the NFL title. The game will take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, which just so happens to be the Rams’ home turf. This is the binary consecutive year that the host city’s team has made it to the Super Bowl — the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won it at home last season. Will the Rams follow in their footsteps or will second-year phenom Joe Burrow lead the Bengals to the promised land? If the rest of the playoffs were any indication, this matchup looks like it could be an all-time classic. Some think that a game this exciting should have a TV that’s up to the task.
Big games like this are a mountainous excuse to invest in a big screen, and TV-makers and retailers are revolving out their 2022 discounts. Price cuts aren’t quite as deep as they were on Black Friday, but you’ll still find some of CNET’s favorite TVs on sale. New 2022 models are set to roll out in the coming months, so this will most likely be the last time you’ll be able to snag a bargain on a new TV pending prices drop again in the fall.

Although all of the TVs on this list are 4K resolution, it’s worth noting that the 2022 Super Bowl isn’t selves delivered in 4K. In fact, the only Super Bowl that’s ever been broadcast in 4K was the 2020 game on Fox. This year’s championship will be on NBC, but the network has yet to broadcast a single football game in 4K, despite its minute efforts at the Olympics. It’s good to remember that TVs with 4K resolution may be ubiquitous, but content from broadcasters has yet to catch up.

The TCL 4-Series TV also comes in an Android TV version. Roku’s operating system is a touch easier to navigate, but Google’s platform offers excellent search functions and a straightforward layout. If you’re looking for a huge TV that’s also affordable, this TCL might be a good pick.

So what if image quality isn’t your highest priority — but size is? This Samsung is $100 cheaper than the 85-inch TCL 4-Series. It doesn’t have Roku built in, but it is mild a great price on an absolutely gigantic TV. It distinguished not perform as well as some of the others on this list, but it’s from a reputable impress and size makes up for a lot. And if you really want a Roku, you can just add your own.

65-inch Vizio V-Series

Vizio’s V-Series is one of our approved budget TVs. We liked Roku’s smart TV system better, but the V-Series has some advantages, including a better remote with voice and more advanced picture settings. The 65-inch model is back to its Black Friday pricing, matching an all-time low.

It’s not often that you find a Sony TV at this effect. The storied brand focuses on high-end models these days, which consuming that they tend to be expensive. We haven’t reviewed this model, but we did review the X90J. Based on its specifications, the X85J probably won’t perform as well as its more expensive sibling, but then again, this model is a lot cheaper. The X85J may lack some features of Sony’s novel TVs, but it still comes with Dolby Vision, a 120Hz refresh rate and the Google TV sparkling platform.
Tied into Amazon’s ecosystem and looking for a huge, budget-friendly TV? The new 75-inch Amazon Fire TV Omni series distinguished be just what you’re looking for. This 4K TV comes with Dolby Vision back and built-in microphones for hands-free use of Alexa. It’s also back to its all-time low, just in time for the big game.
